Clement Bonte

Billy Goat's dead lover. Clement is an albino who looks to be in his early 20’s. His skin is powder white and his eyes are bubblegum pink. He wears his white hair in a straight-down “bowl” style and typically wears suits in contrasting earth tones. Despite his albinism he has perfect 20/20 vision without a hint of photosensitivity. Clement’s fey mien, however, shows a completely different side of the Airtouched albino. instead of white pigment, his skin has the appearance (but not the texture) of rolling clouds, and his hair perpetually “poofs” just a bit as though he is a constant conduit for static electricity (in fact, he is). His feet don’t quite seem to touch the ground, although pulling something out from under him or watching him step over a ledge reveals otherwise.

Clement was, unlike Billy, exclusively homosexual, and was mutually in love with Billy, but the two played it off as if their affair was of the utmost frivolity – a mere lark. They had pledged not to betray one another by giving their hearts to another. Clement wanted Billy to remain in power, and was willing to hide anything and everything from anyone and everyone to make it so. Clement was killed during the war by Caleb Martinet, who had discovered their secret and was trying to hold Bonte hostage to force Billy to support Bynes (as Bynes' hearthooks were not sufficient to ensnare Billy). When Billy attempted to rescue Clement, Martinet killed him preemptively.
