Requiem in Detroit:Log

Timmy Skittles was grabbed while heading to the club. He is in Detroit primarily to look for a site for his manor. Looks like Andrew with a prosthetic arm.

Roger was likewise grabbed while on the way to a prospective gig. A blues man by trade, Washington is a black older gentleman with a fashionable hat and a pair of khakis. His gray hair is thinning. As a Nosferatu, however, he has exaggerated big lips with glassy eyes and fangs; his skin is an unpleasant gray ash color.

Kennedy Corlette had just been dropped off at the rally opposing the takeover by the emergency manager. She is a blonde woman, very well put together, wearing prim and proper clothing. She was grabbed at the periphery of the crowd.

Lex was in the process of robbing a house under cover of rallies and small riots. She dropped the Xbox she was stealing and was grabbed by something going way too fast. She is a petite (5'2") thin woman, with dyed black hair with side-swept bangs bearing streaks of vibrant hot colors and a faceful of metal; she wears black leggings, a white tank top and a hoodie with tribal designs.

William Grim arrived at an empty party. He's a Norwegian-looking heavy dude with muscles wearing a torn bloodstained flannel shirt and t-shirt with work boots and jeans.

The coterie awoke discarded in a factory, Skittles arm was not working, but Sylvia was still there. Lex made her way out (hidden) and Roger introduced himself while Skittles found a chunk of metal. As Roger was introducing himself, they heard a couple people searching the area. William rounded the corner, to find a pair of drug dealers, one of whom he ate and the other of whom ended up being swarmed by the others. Only Kennedy ended up getting almost nothing, why Timmy lost control of himself and consumed the rest of the man.

They were then come upon by a pair of vampires who gave them a quick primer on what was going on as far as their new state. One of them, a man who introduced himself as Martin Weise, tried to give them some solace, while Kendra, the other, declared that they were dead and damned, but that they still had some control over their damnation day. Martin declared that the area was free of anyone else (and that they were hunting someone) and, upon learning that Kennedy had drank very little blood, declared that they needed her blood (as it was the pure blood of her sire).

They extracted Kennedy's blood and got her something to eat (albeit unappealing). They learned that the new plan was to take the blood and get a werewolf to consume it, which would cause them to be able to track her sire by scent, the theory being that while a Vampire contains an amalgam of blood, the blood would ONLY be present in its purest form in her sire, which would lead him in the wrong direction (and the blood within HER would be adulterated by everything else they consumed). They fed before they started a disturbance, and the group was able to create a large enough mess to attract a werewolf who fucked them up pretty badly. Even so, they were able to accomplish their goal, although Timmy Skittles managed to draw Martin's antipathy, but Kendra seemed reasonably convinced that he was helping.

They convened in the Klooster building, Timmy leveraged his Resources to hire prostitutes for Roger from which to acquire blood. Martin called and said that they were willing to move on to the next stage.

"Duh-duh-duh-d'-duh Daeva!" - Timmy Skittles

They chased their sires to an abandoned building, where they were informed that the plan was to burn the building. There were gunshots, and four vampires (as well as someone in the basement) all of which were killed. The Sheriff questioned their existence, and Martin was forced to admit they were Embraced by the Brood.

Eventually, they convened at the State Theater to meet with the Prince.

In the subsequent meeting with Prince Malik Hargrove at his court beneath the State Theater, they learned a number of things. They learned that Detroit was run by a sort of political party of Communist vampires, of which Malik Hargrove was leader. They also learned that there were normally strict rules regarding who may be Embraced. As such, their existences were in question. The Sheriff vouched for them, stating that they had killed their sires and, therefore, should be allowed to live. Kendra and Martin, likewise, spoke up on their behalf. Timmy Skittles was disdained by the Prince, and no one seemed keen on trusting Lex (she being a perfect storm of untrustworthiness and disympathy - a poor white criminally-minded Mekhet). The Prince was moved by Washington's rendition of "Motherless Child," but the others mostly won him over on the unique flavor of their skill set. Timmy Skittles was rescued from the jaws of destruction by an Invictus benefactor, a large wealthy Daeva named Benner Artest.

In the meantime, while they were trying to establish a Haven, the PC's were forced to abide the hospitality of local Vampires. DelRay took care of Timmy Skittles and showed off the room he used for blood orgies.

Rudy, who took care of Kennedy, had a truly creepy apartment with bizzare things and a ghoulish cat that supped on his blood. He tricked her into drinking his vampiric blood, putting her on the path towards the Vinculum. She was, however, able to resist subsequent offers.

Dmitri took Grim, and gave him a place in his root cellar (along with a patch of earth to call his own for a few days). He fed him with chained up sensory deprived blood dolls that didn't seem to bother Grim one bit (he'd been through worse).

Martin was the only person willing to take Lex in, and he emphasized that if she took something from him, he would have a trivial time hunting her down with an Auspex power he learned from Mexican Kindred. He revealed that Rudy was, in fact, his sire.

Yvonne of the Circle of the Crone discussed the possibility of joining the Circle with Washington, who seemed keen to involve himself, as his grandfather was "a hoodoo man" and if Vampires were real, he figured there was probably something to all that as well.

Finally, Roger stayed with the Sheriff, and they shot the shit about the city. Chester revealed that he used to be Invictus before the hostile take over back during the riot of '67 when the old Prince was killed.

The coterie was dubbed "The Unfortunates" and eventually chose an abandoned train station as their haven (which Timmy Skittles purchased from a major land contracting company after discovering that much of the miscellaneous property in the city passes between Full Century, White Grove, Christchurch Acquisitions and the city itself).

Kennedy agreed to have her former self "killed off" in a gruesome car accident, and coroner Eric Rowe was able to arrange this for her, and give her the legal identity of Connie Rowe (acting as executor of her trust and estate). In return for this, the ghoul demanded two pints of her blood. It was explained that he's able to do this without fearing enslavement because he's already bound by the Vinculum to his regnant, who is allegedly torpid. While some have made overtures to wanting to claim Rowe as their own ghoul, the backlash from the rest of the community would be harsh given how valuable he is.

William proposed that more than just he and Lex get tattooes. They encountered a biker Vampire. They then looked over their territory. Kennedy and William explored.

Then a week. Lex looked into the Ordo Dracul. Kennedy lookd into... William was trying to break things up. Timmy Skittles wants to gentrify the area, and wanted to clean up the area. Roger wanted to get in touch with the Circle of the Crone.

Timmy Skittles decided that the people of the surrounding area were low-life scum and would not be missed, so between him and William, they decided that they would deal with them through violence and kidnapping. They pulled blueprints for 1604 Camden Place. They consulted the Sherriff and determined that he was confident that they could fuck up the whole situation all by themselves. They chased the people away, but then a lab opened at 1608 Camden place, but then promptly closed.

She was told to bring a single item with her. The katana. She met mistress the mistress and learned that she was now expected to kill someone and make it clear that it was a murder to "chase the dragon's tail"

Kennedy spoke Amber of the Carthian Movement, who explained the benefits and requirements of the movement, and with Martin, who explained nothing and gave her a single white rose.

Lex is trying to bring some money to her family for Christmas.

Roger and William's goals aligned with Timmy Skittles' in getting the block cleared. William's secondary agenda is to clear out and map out the sewers. Timmy's secondary agenda is to make contact with the Unaligned and celebrate Christmas. Kennedy is going to align herself with the Carthian Movement.

Roger joined the Circle of the Crone, under Mother Blue, gaining access to Cruac and having it revealed to him that in some ancient bygone era, flesh sacrfices were made to the Lord of the Flies and the divinity was consumed in the form of tainted meat. He had within him the spirit of this divinity.

Kennedy met with Jurovich, who asked her to get a hold of McJohns to acquire the ongoing 5 year plan.

Timmy Skittles decided to bribe the histoircal society into letting him bulldoze the buildings.

Lex sent money to her family by stealing home security systems. Christmas gifts were sent.

Grim checked out the sewer, and encountered some issue with soemthing that seemed to have a little girl, an assault rifle and a chainsaw.

They had a family meeting. They discussed dealing with McJohns, and the thing in the sewers that Grim found.

They ended up forming a truce with Smith the Boogeyman. They determined that it was not a dead lead (which was pretty self-evident).

The PC's were asked to deal with McJahns. They arrived and he insisted that they needed to come back in a few days (after confusing them for objects and them forcing their way in). Once they bullied him into revealing things, he admitted that he needed to rework the figures due to some issues. Good territory was being downgraded and the Invictus was coming out ahead. The major issue was the the Brood kept rebuilding their ranks on the interim while only one Blood Hunt was taking place per year, which implied that some factor in the government was to blame... which was problematic for anyone who had to, for example, present these findings. Roger agreed to get a second Blood Hunt declared.

Roger went ahead and spoke with Chester about the issues and spoke of the Brood. Also the issues with Chester's Tv not being large enough.

Lex killed a man at a club after he tried to date rape her. It turned out he was the nephew of a senator.

Skittles tried to make contact with Engels, but Caleb Brinks shot him down (proverbially). Later, though, Caleb returned to bring him and Roger to meet and speak with her. She spoke with Timmy about the situations and expressed distaste for the Prince. Meanwhile, Roger made friends with Caleb Brinks.

William fed a couple homeless men to Smith and put his presents under the tree.

Skittles and Roger went to get Chester a plasma TV for Christmas.

Maybe Grim was planning a X-mas party. Maybe Richard will be given picks and new strings. Maybe Lexy with be getting a blackjack, a hoodie, a single cashmere glove for Timmy Skittles, a Cashmere scarf for Kennedy and 2 hobos for Smith. Lex grabbed gifts for everyone - a mask for Roger, a necklace for Kennedy, a terrible sculpture for Timmy Skittles, and a mace for William. Everyone seemed relatively pleased with their gifts.

Joe spoke around the room and mentioned that Vampires are meeting at the closed aquarium. The Revrend Cal was pleased by the symbolism of the party. Engels was disappointed that the party ended up having blood, but was plied. Dmitris was displeased generally by everyone at the party. Micah Lyons, who brought a ghoul named Joe with him, took Timmy Skittles aside and demanded that he not interfere in his plans to eliminate the Prince. Malik showed up and made veiled threats. Joe turned out to be Sandusky Joe.

The party pressed on, but there were warning signs. Joe kept looking at his watch, Hargrove and Micah kept arguing and things were coming to a head. However, Timmy told Hargrove and Micah to leave, and they argued outside until Micah exploded, nearly destroyed Hargrove. Meanwhile, Joe tried to sneak out the back, but was apprehended by Roger, who brought him back in, despite his explosives. They sucked the oxygen out and removed the explosives to the bathroom (Where Skittles had moved all the gifts, including a funeral wreath from Micah).

The Prince partially recovered, and demanded Joe's death. They delayed and discussed Joe's potential value and, eventually, pissed the Prince into a frenzy. They pushed for the information on the Brood, and eventually Rev. Cal ended up arguing that the Unfortunates should be responsible for Sandusky Joe, and they ended up agreeing. They discovered that Joe had never drank blood, and was, instead, using the blood charitably at the Children's Hospital, and was horrified to learn that the sickest of the children probably weren't actually getting better (save the ones with actual injuries that could be healed) and would likely be sicker afterward. This devastated him.

Joe eventually explained that he didn't personally know anything about the Brood, but that he knew that the Crone "Oracle" did, and the Oracle in question "jumped" from person to person. He said that the Crone's agents seemed to be able to identify them through careful examination. He wasn't sure why. They made him drink Kennedy's blood to become a ghoul.

Kennedy laid down the rules for Joe, who seemed pliant, but more nonchalant than one would expect. Lex tried to follow the Dragon's Tail by making determinations regarding investigations into the dealer that sold the GHB. Bill walked the streets of the territory. Kennedy wanted to make determiantions regarding where the Brood were, but finding the Oracle was proving immediately impedous. Kennedy asked McJahns for advice, and he suggested a witch hunt, eventually suggesting that Unaligned Brujah Alejandro Spencer (and his gang) whose only affiliation is with the Brujah in Baja California. Timmy Skittles acquired white phosphorous rounds.

Roger contacted the Brinks brothers to discuss his plan to eliminate Rudonto Biggs. Shadrack Brinks agreed to come up with a deal that he would be willing to exchange to work with him. Smith loved the plan to act as a garbage disposal.

Lex determined that she was a poor detective, but was able to discover that the police had a local dealer in lockdown in relation to the crime. Marquis Lands, a local dealer selling mostly scrips, She used the Familiar Stranger to mimic his lawyer and murder him.

Del Ray Dunn agreed to save the 10 children that Sandusky Joe fed blood to. Candace VanRooste brought him into the Invictus and congratulated him on retaining his moral center.

Caleb Brinks contacted Roger to request that he deal with Martinee Moyle, a prior associate of his. They decided to agree to this and set Sandusky Joe to the task. Joe stabbed him dead, but disguised the hell out of himself.

They fed, but Timmy Skittles had taken too much advantage of his usual call girls (and hasn't realized it yet).

They ended up taking a large party over to Rudy's to intimidate him. Rudy has a clubgoing woman named Jeanette over. Rudy tried to bribe them and explained that he wasn't planning on devouring Kennedy or any such thing, but that he was hoping to use her to find a Wyrm's Nest (apparently the Brood are magnets for such). When they left, a series of photographs were taken, showing them blurry and pleasing the photographer. Finally, the next morning. Rudy's apartment was burned and he was killed, as they were informed by Caleb Brinks.

They learned that the Carthians were first on the scene, but for the most part that Rudy was not a target of anything. They ended up finding pictures of Eric Rowe posing in an irreverant way with the remains (as well as the fetal vampire in the jar).

Del Ray Dunn contacted Timmy Skittles about the 10 kids, but didn't know anything about Rudy (and seemed upset about it). The Sherriff was quick to point out that the Brood would be a perfect scapegoat if a Brood ghoul (or ghoul that appears to be a Brood).

They decided that they need to find the Oracle. They asked Mother Blue, but she required (through her agent) an offering. They went to Spirit Shards and ended up dealing with the owner (Temptress Jones) who told them that their tainted kind are not wanted there.

Jeanette tapped on their window and told them she had the shakes and said that everything was too loud, bright and jagged. The coterie spoke with Jeanette and found out that prior to dealing with Rudy (who had kicked her out in the morning). They spoke with Martin, who pointed out that it was unlikely she was their ghoul, because he and Rudy are actually Daeva (who claim frequently to be Mekhet). She eventually admitted that she went to a club called the Buzz, and that she dealt with a Persian guy (probably Brood dead), as well as his shaggy brown haired friend (probably Brood dead), and a dark-haried brooding guy with a disheveled look (???).

They hired Joe to watch her, and Kennedy tried to call her superiors but was stopped by Lex. Eventually she called, but omitted the Brood portion of the situation. Jurovich seemed pleased. William went out of his way to look around.

Joe reoprted that she was home all day, slept for three hours, made a couple phone calls, listened to George Gershwinn too loud and had a Mexican girl over for abour 11 minutes.

Splitting into two groups: Timmy and Kennedy running the situation. Kennedy was looking through homeless communities, and Timmy and Roger were looking through homeless communities.

Days: 1 - No notable progress (1); 2 - some progress (5); 3 - much progress (7) - found the Oracle. The Master among us the Prince, Malik Hargrove.

Ari Balthas was determined to be the leader of the Brood in the area and his location discovered. The Prince was confirmed to be working with and a member of the Brood. The ghoul they found the day previous was confirmed to be a psychic that could read surface thoughts, and NOT a ghoul. Joe noted a hispanic woman and a dark-haired man visiting, but nothing unusual until he was told she was psychic, at which point she freaked out. He left, and was followed by a black sedan driven by a black lady. He snuck through the sewer to escape.

Jason Tennyson was a hunter that was watching over Martin Weise. William, Lex and Timmy went to confront his Hunter, and Weise escaped while they were talking to him. The hunter gleaned some information and claimed that he was going to have to kill Timmy. Timmy became enraged when the hunter claimed to be "one of the best of humanity" and charged. Lex and William meanwhile moved in to kill him, but ended up stuck outside. The hunter blew his way through the floor to get out and escaped. William confronted him, but he held him at bay with his crucifix until the Beast took over and allowed him to chase and ultimately maim him, amputating three of his fingers (which were collected) and damaging his Steyr Aug (which was also collected). Lex got her leg blown off with a claymore mine in the process of raiding the apartment.

Morning broke, and then night again. The next evening, Lex drank from William (becoming addicted to Vitae) and then everyone used their methods to recover blood. Lex healed her destroyed leg ("The veins snake out and bloom like a flower of flesh.") and Kennedy met with the Hargrove, explaining the situation with the Brood (leaving strategic lacunae).

The coterie agreed to the dubious notion that they needed to "meet" with Ari of the Brood. They intimidated and subsequently murdered his manservant. Then a fight broke out and the killed only one redneck (through exsanguination), destroyed a large brood vampire, sent one into a retreating frenzy and left Mos Pers (Nosferatu "wizard") staked.

Then things went nuts. Jurovich and Chester were callled, but Chester was recalled, when McJohns called Kennedy screaming in fear. The group split with Lex, Wiliam and Roger went to save McJohns (with the confused cabby driving quickly) and they arrived to find Del Ray Dunn, a gangbanger and the Prince (!) Malik Hargrove in the process of torching his apartment through the door. He fucked up a lot of people, but somehow no one died. The Prince fled and met with Chester, who had just showed up. Chester fucked up Lex before Malik was scared off. Del Ray tried to escape, but was stabbed by Lex, but then fell into torpor. Chester and the party then waited. Of course, this proved nothing to no one, and McJohns couldn't identify his attackers as anything but lawn furniture.

Lex and Roger raided a coma ward, which was fucked up. Roger was fake staked by Chester, as a show for McJohns (who bought it) and then the two discussed what they needed to do.

Meanwhile, at the trailer park, Dmitris arrived and checked out the Brood Sanctuary, and declared that Hargrove was a member of the Brood. He found a deformed chicken claw, a counterpart to a talisman sometimes worn by Hargrove. On the way out, however, Tennyson ambushed them and killed one of Dmitris henchmen, Jusef, and Dmitris ended up a torpid torso in the beck of Kennedy's car. Allison, Dmitris' other henchperson, was injured but alive and kicking.

Long story short, the final confrontation was pending, Jurovich, Cal and Chester were their greatest allies, everyone else was against them.

Made a car bomb out of the truck, loaded up on guns and brought their friends. The police accepted that it was gas lines, and the stage was set for a final battle.

Roger Chester: 0 Smith: 1 Brinks: 0

Kennedy Sandusky: 1 Political: 0

Cal awoke Jurovich at the cost of Allison. A plan was hatched.
