Arcadia:Technii Pulchritudo

Technii Pulchritudo, a humble cleric of Shelyn, began his life on a farm five miles outside of the Taldon town of Elsekulp. Raised by his parents and grandparents, Technii never wanted for anything in his life. He was a strong child with a big heart. He helped feed the chickens everyday and named every last one of them. He cried whenever one had to be killed for food. His family found the practice amusing at first but soon started sending the boy into town whenever butchering had to be done.

Technii made a journey into town nearly every day and he soon became fast friends with the merchants who traveled the road and river. While he was not a very bright child he learned the basics of trading and bartering very quickly. Soon, Technii's family found that their strong young farmboy had become a rather capable trader and started having the boy conduct all of the family business. He learned how to tell when a merchant was trying to swindle a man and how to make complete strangers feel like fast friends. While the boy could never remember exactly how much he should charge for eggs or how much feed should cost he would often get the best deals based on nothing but his charming smile.

One day while at the market in Elsekulp, Technii was haggling with some tough Sczarni men when things took a turn for the worse. One of the men pulled a knife, threatened the teenage farmer, and attempted to liberate him from all of his material wealth. Technii was terrified and would have probably been killed if not for a beautiful woman who called out to the men. The men gazed at the gorgeous woman and were entranced. She called for the men to come spend their time and money with her. Technii seized the momentary distraction and ran with his belongings all the way home.

Technii returned to Elsekulp the following day and found that the woman was not in fact a prostitute but was the local priestess of Shelyn. Like most people he met, Technii and the priestess, who introduced herself as Salvianella became friends. He made it a point to come visit every time he came to town. After a short time he even started to worship Shelyn with a passion that most new converts did not know.

Technii became a priest of Shelyn and traveled to Oppera to trade for the church. He kept his bright optimism and cheerful smile everywhere he went. Whenever his church was in need Technii could always find someone willing to help out and whenever others were in need Technii gave them everything they asked for and more. When merchants came to the church expressing a great opportunity for profit in the New World he jumped at the chance of spreading beauty and love to the far reaches of the world. He has traveled to the new world on three separate occasions now and has grown to love the land and people in it. He brings spices and textiles to the different settlements and is friends with even the sternest of Hellknights.

Technii travels now with his childhood friend, Fluffles the Horse, and greats each beautiful day with a smile on his face and love in his heart. Life has been good for him so far and even the most dreary days cannot break his spirit.
