Arcadia:Katarina Starbringer

Katarina Starbringer was a nomad, living mostly in the forest. Her mother brought her up until the age of 10, when she died of a plague. She had told Katarina that her father had died before he found out she was pregnant. Her mother's family, who had never approved of Katarina's mixed heritage, threw her out to the streets. So, Katarina tried to locate her father's family, to see if they would accept her. What she found was her father, very much alive and possessing knowledge of her, who wanted nothing to do with her. She was found by a “family” of other half elves who had been discarded and welcomed her to join them. They stayed to themselves, avoiding humans and elves alike, as much as possible. When Katarina was 30, she ventured into a town for some supplies where she was captured and sold into slavery. When the family she was bought by ran out of money, she was sold to the Chelish slave ship headed to the new world.
